Cane
Hill Harvest Festival is held on the third week of September on the historic
Cane Hill College, which later became University of the Ozarks. This slideshow shows
the Historic Cane Hill Festival focusing on its connection with University of
the Ozarks’ history.
Cane Hill, named like that because of the dense
growth of Bamboo Cane, is the home of the first establishment that would become
the University of the Ozarks. Dr. McFarland, a communication professor at University
of the Ozarks, took her Critical Inquiry class to the Annual Cane Hill Harvest
Festival to show them the foundation of our university. The Cane Hill Harvest Festival
is held on the grounds of the historic Cane Hill College and it takes place the
third week of September. This slideshow portrays the colorful festival and its
farmland community.
